Pickin N Grinin

Pokey has been in our lesson program since the middle of 2007. It took a little while to get her into the program because she was in a very poor condition when she arrived. She was a donation from her life long home, and she has since gotten into incredible condition. Those who saw her when we got her cannot believe that it is the same horse.

Pokey is a 1987 sorrel Quarter Horse mare who stands 15.1 hands tall. She has the correct name as she can be quite pokey unless you really want to make her work and then she accepts the challenge willingly. She is used primarily in our beginner level lessons.
